Avenue of the Americas Association Supports God’s Love We Deliver

Karen Pearl, President and CEO of God’s Love We Deliver, attended the Association’s 2010 Annual meeting to thank its members for its donation of $5,000. God’s Love We Deliver, which is located downtown on the Avenue of the Americas, provides meals and nutritional counseling to men, women and children living with life-altering illnesses.

In addition to providing a grant to God’s Love We Deliver this past year, the Association also supported the New York Police Foundation, the FDNY Foundation, two local high schools and the American Folk Art Museum.

Andrew Gottesman, chairperson of the Ave. of the Americas Association, presented Edward DeMeo, Principal of the Jacqueline Kennedy High School for International Careers, with a check for $5,000 at the Association’s 2008 Annual Meeting. This contribution will help expand the school’s Theater Business Program. The Association also donated $5,000 to the FDNY Foundation to help Engine Company 24 purchase new equipment for its house. Engine Company 24, located at the base of the Ave. of the Americas, lost two firefighters, Joseph Graffagnino Robert Beddia, in the Deutsche Bank fire last summer.
